packed light brown sugar1 egg
1 ½ tsp grated orange peel
¼ cup orange juice
1 cup flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 cups
regular or quick cooking rolled oats
Preheat
oven to 350^.
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg, orange peel and
juice. Gradually beat in flour, soda, baking powder, salt and nutmeg until
mixed. Stir in oats.
Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls about 2 ½ inches apart on
greased cookie sheets. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes.
Makes 2 to 2 ½ dozen cookies
